You have to acquire a warrant of fitness, or WOF, every six months if your car is six years or older, and every 12 months for a newer car. The WOF is a document certifying that your light motor vehicle passed a mandatory inspection of roadworthiness and safety. It ensures that all cars that are on the road are fit to be there, reducing the amount of accidents.

The WOF test inspects:

  • Structural condition
  • Condition of tyres
  • Brake condition
  • Windscreen wipers and washers
  • Fuel system
  • Steering and suspension
  • Exhaust
  • Speedometer
  • Seat belts
  • Doors

Your car must meet the criteria of each category to pass the WOF. We provide warrant of fitness in Hamilton testing to help you.

Our service crew has the experience and expertise to run the test and help you get certification for your vehicle.

Once your car passes the test, the vehicle you use must display the warrant of fitness sticker in the top right of the windscreen. It indicates that it passed inspection, and also displays the date of the next testing.

A car, even with a current warrant of fitness sticker, can still undergo inspection by a policeman and deemed not roadworthy. If your vehicle does not have or use an expired sticker, you will incur a fine.

To avoid fines and make sure your car meets safety and road standards, get your WOF in Hamilton with us. You can rely on us to deliver the service that you need, but we also provide other advice to keep your vehicle roadworthy and safe.
